Kenwood DDX373BT Volume

I have a Kenwood DDX373BT installed in my vehicle. Multiple volume problems on multiple tested iOS devices I need help with.

1 - the units volume will not go higher than 25, when It does It “jumps” back to 15 volume.

2 - anytime a volume button on the iPhone or the itunes slider gets moved , the volume on the unit jumps to 15

3 - full volume on iTunes will show at 15 on the unit momentarily then show “half” on itunes.

4 - (the most frustrating) the volume decreases to 15 EVERY time an itunes song changes.

ive restarted the phone and unit, updated iOS, updated unit firmware, followed every suggestion and walkthrough from Kenwood. They have informed me it’s an Apple issue.

help.

4 - (the most frustrating)

Hi BigCatKirkwood,

Thanks for posting! We understand wanting to be able to manage the volume on your stereo when using it with an iPhone. It sounds like the volume changes back to a set level.

To clarify, it sounds like you're saying this happens with multiple iOS devices. Is that right?

Have you checked Settings > Music to see if Volume Limit or Sound Check are on? If they are, test with those turned off.

Also, how are you connecting your iPhone to your vehicle? If you're using a cable connection, it sounds like it would help to test with another cable.

Also, have you double-checked your stereo settings to see if there might be any volume limit settings on, or anything similar?

We hope this helps.

Take care.
