Brand new 13" MBP crashes (twice) during sleep.

My brand new MBP (mid 2020) crashes during sleep, usually extended sleep or overnight. When I open the lid, it boots normally and gives the "Your Mac restarted because of a problem." Once fully booted, if I manually issue a restart command the screen shows the dark multi-lingual crash alert screen followed by a fairly slow reboot and another "Your mac restarted..." notice. The first crash report varies widely, the second crash report always begins with panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff7f8a673b66): "[IGPU] sendHostToGucMessage: Firmware communication error... Full reports attached below.

Like I said, this is a brand new machine and nothing exotic has been installed. Currently running 10.15.6, plus Adobe CS, Office, Dropbox and a handful of custom fonts.

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue in safe mode. Any ideas or insights are deeply appreciated.

If the problem goes away in safe mode, then there is a pretty good chance that software you have installed is causing the problem. This may be due to using versions not fully compatible with Catalina. I would check if you are using the most recent versions of the software. For example, Office 2011 is incompatible. See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.

You can fully uninstall all your third-party software, then verify you get no more kernel panics. The install one software program and thoroughly test it. Do not install another package if the first one produces panics until you either upgrade it or uninstall it.

If you are running the third-party software concurrently, then be sure you have sufficient RAM installed or stop using them all concurrently.
