Outdated Os System

I recently just purchased a refurbished 2010 MacBook Pro. Most of the apps I want require an updated system on this computer. Can I even upgrade with this computer? Please help as I am in desperate need of protools!

The "2010 MacBook Pro" probably may require hardware

upgrade before macOS 10.13.6 is expected to run well..

IF your 2010 is 'mid-2010' ~ then High Sierra could run in it,

depending on how much RAM & hard drive capacity, inside.

Should the MacBook/Pro specs not supersede minimal ones

in article; before going further. Consider reviewing reputable

mac-centric source for upgrade/replacement parts online.

A better choice would be (min.) Mid-2012 MacBook Pro non-retina

13-inch w/ 16GB RAM & at least 512GB hard drive storage, (or SSD.)

This model w/ correct upgrade RAM as spec'd can run Catalina

but may be versatile and work well with macOS Mojave 10.14.6

Above 10.14.6 and the Mac would likely need solid-state drive.
