AirDrop issues with iPhone 7 to iMac

I'm having issues sending photos from my iPhone 7 to my iMac, I can see my iMac in the AirDrop to send the photo and when I click on it it just keeps saying it's waiting and nothing happens on my iMac to accept it. I can send photos and files from my iMac to my iPhone but I can't seem to get it to go the other way, any help?

iPhone 7, iOS 13

Hi, welcome to the Apple Users Community.

Check the size of what you are trying to transfer. It's not ideal to transfer large files over Airdrop (bluetooth).

Check your iCloud, if you're using the same Apple ID on both devices, you may already have access to the files on your iPhone because you're sharing them without realizing it.

Best of luck
