Godaddy emails not sending

I setup my godaddy email the same way as the iPhone. Would the settings be any different? The messages I send out on that account take forever to send, or don't send at all, they sit in the outbox. Has anyone had problems with with using a godaddy account?

I thought I had set up my GoDaddy account correctly; however when I got my iPad someone had already created a blank account that was set up as IMAP. I suggest deleting the account and re-creating it as POP (you get two options that are tabs and IMAP is the default). Once I did that, I was able to send and receive email. Also, if you are sending email through your ISP they may have blocked the standard SMTP port. There are other ports that can be used but do not have them with me at this moment.

I was receiving godaddy imap email with no problem, but i got an error for every sent message. I tried changing ports and that other advice all over the boards, and none of that worked. For me, the godaddy email finally began sending only when i entered user name and password in the primary server setup screen. In short, fill in email and password everywhere in the setup screens, *EVEN IF* it says "optional".
