I have had the same fault with this iPhone 11 and xr before. Search function freezes, dialing freezes, contacts aren’t always found in contact. Open contacts to a black screen. Only way to resolve any of these is shut the app and start again. My wife has the same issue with her xr. After 6 months of this it’s becoming a bore
