Apps Won't Update due to Change of Apple ID

I recently changed my Apple ID and updated my Apple ID setting on my mac, however, when I try to update apps from the app store, it simply does not accept the new Apple ID.

Do I have to re-install all of the apps on my macbook?

Yes. As long as you did not just change the name of your apple ID

The apps are linked to the old Apple ID, and requires the old password to update.

Best solution is to delete and reinstall using your new apple ID. (or start using your old Apple ID and change its name instead of making a new apple ID
