Local iPhone contacts

Hi,

I have a problem with the contacts on my iPhone. The only account that i sync my contacts with is my iCloud account. However when I create a new contact it is saved locally in the suggested contacts group. See attachment.

the name of this group is also

weird because my phones language is Dutch

Where is this local contact source coming from, and more importantly; how can I delete this?

thanks in advance!

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for replying.

It's not that my contacts are syncing locally. It's when I create a new contact manually, it is saved locally and not in the iCloud account.

Tthe "Default Account" option bacomes visible if you have multiple cloud based sources for contacts. For example an Outlook.com account and a Gmail account. As I am syncing my contacts with iCloud only this option is not visible for me. I have tried adding a second account and then it becomes visible. Sadly this is not the solution to this problem. I would like to delete the "local iphone" contact source and use iCloud only.

I have checked my wife's iPhone and she does not have this local iPhone source for her contacts.

Any other thoughts? ;-)

Have a nice day!
