PDFs won't sync in Books between Mac and iPad

I added a pdf to Books on my Mac and it's not syncing with my iPad. I have gone through all the iCloud settings on both devices, unchecked and re-checked everything button and slider. My AppleIDs are the same on both devices.

How do I get Books to sync?

Can’t see PDF books on the books app on Mac So I recently downloaded some PDFs to the books app on my phone. All my devices are synced together so I can see it on my IPad but not on my Mac. I have the sync settings on, on my Mac but when I go to iCloud Drive in system preferences it doesn’t have books as an option.

Apple Books don't sync to iCloud When I add a PDF to the Books app in MacOS the file isn't uploaded to iCloud, even though it should be (according to the settings). I'm logged in to all my devices with the same Apple ID, but the file is not available anywhere else than locally on the Mac where it was imported. I have tried to log in/out and to turn off/on iCloud storage for the app, but nothing helps. Does anyone have an idea of what may be wrong?
