Recharging the battery does not directly affect the battery life. However every time your battery gets fully charge it counts into the Battery charge cycle. Make sure that you are using the official Apple charging adapter that came with your MacBook. Also your MacBook should be up-to-date. So charging at the office or at home is fine. Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. updates), system configurations (i.e. for Power) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM
