Excessive fees

my question is why is Apple not up front about the excessive fees they charge for some transactions?? I paid for something online using Apple Pay. There was an asterisk but I couldn’t find any explanation for it being there.

Okay, I see what's happening here. 50bb$ is not $50. its game currency. you are not being overcharged. Thanks to Shichimi for pointing out that the game packs are not actual cash. I did not look that close.

It looks like Bridge Base is charging you for the 30% fee that Apple takes for in-app purchases. As it is actual cash, as in real dollars, (the directors are paid in real currency) Bridge Base is making you pay Apple’s fee. however, if you log in to bridgebase.com (as the note says) and buy BB$ on line on their site you will pay only the actual cost of the BB$. In checking my records I am charged $20 for 20 BB$.
