How to merge the data of two iPhones into just one.

So I have two iPhones, one for work and one for personal use. Thet are both registered to the same iCloud account as seperate devices So I have a tow differnet sets of photos, contacts etc on each device. I want to go down to one iPhone and use that for both work and personal but I cant find a way of merging the content of both phones down to just one.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

So your not actually using iCloud photos, contacts, notes etc (those are disabled in each device’s iCloud settings?). Your keeping all data on each device only and using iCloud solely for backups?

The simplest thing would be to turn on all those data sync options on each device and let them sync their contacts, photos etc to iCloud and thus to each other. That will assume you have enough iCloud storage to do all that.

You could also transfer all photos from each to your laptop or desktop and ,ergo them there, then sync back which ones you want onto the iPhone.

You can’t merge iCloud or iTunes backup files though.

I am confused. You cannot register devices with iCloud as “separate devices” when it comes to data. If you have and use one iCloud account, then every device using that iCloud account is accessing the exact same data. There is no separation of data as iCloud’s entire purpose is to keep all your data in sync across all your connected devices. It has no mechanism for separating contacts, notes, photos, etc by device name.

Are you sure each device is using the exact same AppleID with iCloud?

Thanks for replying Michael. I have one Apple ID and iCloud account with several devices registered to that account. On each device I have different photos, videos, contacts etc.

They are all backed up regularly to the same iCloud. What I don’t know how to do is to merge the day from my work iPhone with my personal iPhone. So I can ditch the work phone.
