Limiting screen time on the desktop computer

I'm trying to limit the screen time to young family members, but it only seems to include devices. My iMac desktop limitations are separate from the controls in the Family Sharing. How do I include the desktop in Family Sharing? For example, when I set a time limit for all devices, how do I get it to include screen time on the desktop too? Right now it is not working that way.
