Hardware issues in my new macbook air

I feel so disappointed from the performance of my new macbook air 2019. After 2 months of purchasing it, the motherboard has been broken + additional issues. Now Apple technical services told that me that we can only change the damaged hardware. My question is why I can't get a whole new device as this one obviously has alot of problems and it worked only 2 months? I lost all my files and I am in middle of exam but I have to wait at least 10 days for the new laptop to get fixed.

MacBook Air M1 dead after 2 months very light use. Ireland. I bought my MacBook Air M1 over 2 months ago and I have been using a very little of it. Now when I was going to need it and relying on it as I needed for work and other professional purposes suddenly didn’t turn on. After trying all I contacted support and after all they booked me appointment for inspection. On the inspection I was informed that the motherboard is dead and they need to replace it. I was ready to pay little bit extra for replace my computer for newer ones but I was told that they can’t do that. After spending two hours trying to fix it with Apple support then traveling over one hour one way to repair center I am left with no computer badly needed. When I contacted Apple support again asking if they can help me as this MacBook was nearly new and I see there was a lot of issues with same, so I would be happy to pay little bit more and get newer MacBook Air M2 their advice was that after repair I can trade in to Apple. Two months old MacBook to get nothing for trade in, absolutely ridiculous. I absolutely love Apple products but this is not a support I would expect from Apple. I would appreciate if anyone could advise me . Thank you. Regards.

Failed logic board for almost new MacBook Air I am a student and I bought a brand new MacBook air 1 year and 4 months ago. This week, it stopped working completely for no apparent reason at all and I took it into a Mac repair shop who told me that the logic board had failed and it would cost 500£ to repair (more than half the price I payed for the computer from the apple website). The warrantee for the computer expired after 1 year, and 4 months after this my practically new laptop failed for no good reason. My entire dissertation is on that laptop and even though the repair shop told me there was a 90% change that by installing a new logic board, I would be able to access all of my documents, the idea as a student of paying £500 to fix a laptop I bought brand new so recently seems ridiculous. Has anyone else had problems with logic board failures on relatively new Macs without having damaged them in anyway? I know a few people and if this is a common problem Apple really needs to fix their logic boards and their 'susceptibility to damage'.
