Search for the vendor’s product specifications for the particular vendor and model of laptop.
Locate the specification for the maximum power output provided on the USB-A connectors.
If it’s 5W as is common on many USB-A connectors, it’s not enough power to charge an IPad.
An iPad typically requires 10W, 12W, and recent iPad models ship with 18W chargers.
