Ipad birthday gift

Hi there. A generous friend of mine gifted me with an Ipad today. I have a 15-inch MacBook Pro(2013) and an Iphone 6s but have never had an Ipad. Would love a little guidance setting it up please. Thank you.

Since you already have, and use an iPhone 6s, you already have the background to use an iPad.
