Blur edges of a photo

Older Pages had a feature in Frames where you could Blur the edges of a photo. Any idea of how to do that now that this feature is no longer available in v 10?

If you have a Mac capable of running Pages '09 v4.3, then do the blurred picture frame effect to an image there, copy it to the clipboard, and then in Preview, choose New from clipboard. This will be a PDF. You can then either export as 300 dpi .png or as a PDF, and then bring that result back to the Catalina Mac and drag/drop that result into Pages v10.1. Looks like this:

Otherwise, you will have to add the blur effect to the image using a third-party pixel/vector tool (e.g. GIMP, Affinity Photo, etc.) and then bring that result back into Pages v10.1.
