Problems with face id

having problem with face id it was set up previously but when updated software not working have tried to reset but it never give option when trying to authenticate as in face in frame but doesnt try to copy or move from there

Are you wearing anything which is obstructing your face? For example, in some cases, masks, sunglasses etc. can cause Face ID to fail to recognise your face.

If not, I would recommend contacting Apple Support and organising a repair.

No the problem is when trying to switch on to use face id the grid comes up to alighn face but doesnt go any further like no option to proceed just stays on that screen no face recognition attempt even

Have checked and erase all setting still stays at first point can’t authenticate and register face doesn’t scan
