Hey Wstark,

It sounds like you're looking for information on why you may see more contacts stored on your iPhone than in iCloud. We can understand wanting to know more information about that. We want to help.

It's possible that there are other email accounts set up on your iPhone that are storing contacts other than iCloud. You can check to see which accounts are storing contacts by going to Settings > Passwords & Accounts and viewing the accounts listed there to see which have Contacts enabled. You can learn more about that here: Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks!

Hi jeremy_v

I have multiple accounts that seem to be stored on contacts on iphone. It is unclear to me where they all back up to. But when I tried to transfer my contacts to a new iphone I only have about 300 contacts on my new, vs over 500 on old. How can I get all old contacts to synch to one place and transfer them all at once to my new phone?

Thanks
