iCloud backed up photos

I recently got a new phone and before I traded in my old phone I backed up all my photos into iCloud but now on my new phone I don’t see my photos on i cloud that I backed up from my old phone is there a way I could get them back or see them?

All my photos didn’t download from my iCloud I just upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone XS. And I backed up my 6, to iCloud right before switching to the new phone. After two days I noticed that many of my photos from before this March 2020 are not on my phone. I logged into my iCloud and I see them all on there. But only half of my total photos are on my phone. I have tried everything including logging out and back in of my iCloud and my photos have not been downloaded back to my device. Please how do I get them back into my phone ?

not all my photos are showing on iCloud from bask backups how do I find out where all of my photos are? I've had an iPhone for years and I back up everything but not all of my photos are showing up when I got a new phone even though I backed it up to iCloud. how do I figure out where my photos are?
