new location for mail logs?

In the attempt to rescue some space from the Mac Mail logs that become bloated over time, I've sought to (carefully) remove said logs.

I used to be able to find them here:

~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Logs/Mail

that location no longer exists in OS Catalina.

Where might logs be located now?

That is the correct complete path for Mail logs in Catalina

From Finder>Go>Go to Folder, copy and paste that complete path:

~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Logs/Mail

You are safe to delete those all those log/ .txt files.

I have seen anywhere from 12 GB to 700 GB of logs built up here.

Unless you are trouble shooting there is no reason to be accumulating those logs.

Disable log connection activity:
