Looks like a phishing attempt to give up your Password to access your Apple ID.

They'd like to get the password; then they hope to get any other information too.

If you've fallen for only part of this, make sure you have not given away password

which is key to Apple ID. Change your password, but do not make second Apple ID.

Since your email address is often used as part of your Apple ID, the

password is key, to keeping it secure from outside meddling.

Just my opinion; I've had same Apple ID for more than a decade; but

have changed the password more than a few times, over the duration.

Take care & good luck!🌞🎣

Secure your Account:

Assign a New eMail Address:

Open a new eMail account, and assign it as your Apple ID. If these message keep coming through on the new eMail address, then I’d suspect it is a hacked account. If they don’t come through, then it is a scam, though both assumptions on my part.

So, I recommend...

Modify your Credentials:

.. re: Grev3012 ..

And if you did need to change both your Apple ID & also password:

Study the rules, to apply those; so as to not run amok. I didn't see the

need to totally change your Apple ID due to the situation you stated.

They were looking for you to give up your Password info: or Phishing.

..Given the circumstance cited, I'd not need do it. But that's just me..

However if you reconsider and seek to do this, see detailed aspects:

• What to do after you change your Apple ID or Password - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204071

To totally change both, should be a considered action; not taken lightly.

And unwanted repercussions may lock you out of either or both. Advice

to adjust settings in the limited way, still stands; until proven otherwise.

After you Change your Apple ID password.. to prevent unauthorized use of your Apple ID,

Use two-factor authentication for security on your Mac, iOS devices, and iPadOS devices.

And read through earlier "What to do after you change.." & see how that may work for you.

Likely unneeded to resolve the phishing attempt on your Apple ID, this

further extends the topic. Into where it may have gone, only IF needed.

Take care & safe travels!🍀🙂

So you advocate making both a new visible Apple ID (email address)

and a new password for the user account, too?

While that may seem uncomplicated and true, when I've updated

my Apple ID (old name/email address) with a new password; I've

never given the Apple server a 'new email address.' Just password.

So if someone misunderstood such information, that'd

be a whole lot more trouble. Unless the entire Apple ID

(with the password) was given away.

I'd not bother instructing thread's author to 'use new email' as

it would become the visible name of new Apple ID address.

(Unless both are compromised. ~ Two Apple IDs may result.)

Seems like overkill; if entire Apple ID + PW was not divulged.

Good luck & happy trails!🌻🐝
