I can unlock my iPhone via FaceID but i forgot the password

If you attempt to unlock multiple times with incorrect Lock Screen passcode your iPhone will get disabled., or if a message says that your device is disabled, learn what you need, what you get and what is lost.

You need a computer to follow these steps. If you don't have a computer, borrow one from a friend.

Your device will require your passcode when you do the following:

• Turn on or restart your device
• Press the Home button or swipe up to unlock your device (you can change this)
• Update your software
• Erase your device
• View or change passcode settings
• Install iOS or iPadOS Configuration profiles
