Hello Maddiewendel1,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble with your iPhone powering off unexpectedly. We are happy to share information that may help.

From what you've described, you may want to check under Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Maximum Capacity to see if you notice a message about your battery requiring service: If you see 'Your iPhone battery may need to be serviced'.

If you don't see that your battery requires service, take a look at the "Preventing unexpected shutdowns" section of this article: iPhone Battery and Performance.

If your iPhone will not charge properly, check out the information here: If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge.

Take care.
