Just want to confirm that "FB" is = FaceBook?
I am also making the following assumptions they are that-
You are getting the significant use of energy message from Safari when on the FaceBook page. Your MacBook Air also gets hot when that happens.
This happens because you may be looking at a FaceBook page (on Safari) which is highly active (Videos, Sounds, Java & Flash items). When you MacBook Air gets warm then the fan(s) should come on to keep the temperature down. Should your MacBook Air get too hot to touch then you should shut down that page or app and then see whether the heat issue continues.

Apple Chat, determined likely FB or other web pages causing the laptop over heat. Its not too hot to touch, and its always on a flat surface so the fan should be able to do its work property. I just tested FB via Safari and Chrome to compare, both bring heat after about 15 minutes. Closing fb stops it.
It was suggested I clean up browser history. And possibly do something called Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac
I haven't gotten that far yet.
My MacbookAir is 6 years old, energy savings settings are good, and I'm not anywhere near capacity with my use or storage.
The only problem previously was the mistake of using a USB to linking computer to flat screen just for viewing Netflix - wore down the Mac's battery, (of course did not see the warning about USB battery issue until I had already done the damage). I replaced the Mac's battery 2 years ago.
I can otherwise use my mac as usual and even view Neflix on my laptop for hours with no heating issues.
I rarely shut down my computer just put it to sleep /closed over night.I don't travel with it, nothing obvious
about it's condition.
Last resort will be taking it in for authorized service assessment.
