Unlock disabled ipad

I tried severally to unlock my disabled ipad through iTunes but keep getting this error.

iTunes could not connect to this iPad. An unknown error occurred (0xE8000015)

Did you follow these instructions?

If you forgot the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled - Apple Support
