Catalina vs the disabled iPod 5

Found daughter's 8gb iPod touch.

It's now disabled...

We have moved on to Catalina... It appears in finder and I choose the trust button, but it never appears on the iPod, in that, the iPod never responds.

Follow steps to restore It and am never offered to update or restore. It simply told that if I wish to sync this iPod with the computer, click trust, then tap trust on the device.

Thoughts?

windows 10 requires bitlocker password for ipod classic I have a 30GB iPod classic (I think it is very old). I wanted to sync it with iTunes but iTunes couldn't recognize it. Then I noticed that windows 10 asks for a BitLocker password. However, the weird thing is I already reset the device to the factory settings and it shouldn't ask for it, I guess. I tried the same process both on normal and disk mode. Can someone tell me what is wrong here?
