How to change the default view of all plugins

I keep changing my logic display preferences from 'Controls' to 'Editor' but it does not work.

Every time i reopen a plugin it has reverted back to 'Controls'

How do I stop Logic automatically reverting to 'Controls'?

The steps I have followed to no avail are:

1. Go to the main 'Logic Pro X' menu on the top left hand corner of your screen.

2. Scroll down to the first option 'Preferences' and select 'Display'.

3. Click on 'Mixer' in the second sub menu area of the popup.

4. With 'Mixer' selected go to the first option Plug-in Window and uncheck the 'Open in controls view' and your done.

This does not change the issue for me at all, Logic reverts every time I open new plugin, let alone session.

Any advice?
