Welcome, Pope25, to Apple Support Communities!

We see that the (internal, hardware) storage on your phone is full, and that you say you upgraded storage (iCloud storage?), but that didn’t help!

We can help with this!

These is no way to increase the size of the internal, hardware storage of your iDevice. What it came with, in the beginning, is what it will always have.

However, you can use your iCloud storage to offload some files from your iDevice, or, at least, substitute smaller versions, on your iDevice, while retaining the full versions on iCloud.

This is talked about in Manage your photo and video storage - Apple Support.

I also recommend you follow the steps in Clear Other storage on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support. That includes updating your iOS to the latest version.

If your phone doesn’t have sufficient free space, you may not be able to backup to iCloud.

In this case, you may be able to backup using a computer (PC or Mac running iTunes, or Mac running Catalina via the Finder).

Please let us know how this all goes for you!
