I am looking to find info on the right adapter to purchase so that I can connect my MacBook Air (2017 13") to an HDMI monitor, so that I can use two monitors for working. Thank you.

Minor correction: mini-DisplayPort to HDMI. You can either use a mini-DP-to-HDMI cable or a mini-DP-to-HDMI adapter with an HDMI cable.
A mini display to HDMI cable will work. They are sold on Amazon for 8$.
