Is it ok to keep the charger on even if it's already fully charged?

This is not an issue. Your battery will never over charge.
No advantage of unplugging it.
The only risk of always on the mains is the fact your battery will last longer 😉
If you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need portability then run on the battery. Following after that general rule use as you see fit. If on the mains 100% of the time—maybe once a month use on battery down to 50-60% say, for a little exercise—no harm there.
This may not even be necessary any longer with the introduction of Battery Management:
the new normal—
macOS Catalina 10.15.5 introduces battery health management, a feature designed to improve the lifespan of your Mac notebook's battery.
The Battery Health button appears in >SystemPreferences>Energy Saver —this feature is limited to Mac laptops with Thunderbolt 3 ports. That equates to all MacBook Pro models released since late 2016 and the Retina-capable MacBook Air models released since 2018.

Determine battery cycle count for Mac notebooks
Ah, OK.
So, here goes experience 😊
No, there is no problem by keeping it in the charger. Here a few why's...
If you have a more modern Mac, I mean the ones that run Catalina, even better if they're 2016 or 2018, not very sure the year, and newer.
So, Apple arguably uses some of the best technology in batteries, they claim it's not necessary anymore to perform and old known procedure of calibration, although I still recommend it to be done like every month or 2.
Calibration is done by resetting SMC and NVRAM, charging it to 100%, keeping it there for like 2 more hours, normally discharging it (light use), keep it discharged for like 5 to 8 hours, charge it again (light use) and keep it charging for 2 more hours. This calibrates the energy management system and can help the Mac to get mor performance out of the battery.
Apple has also implemented the Health feature for the Mac same way as for the iPhone. This tech tries to learn how you use your machine, how you charge it over time, so it'll try to adjust the charging procedure to your needs, for exemplo, during your sleep it slowly charges up to like 80%, 85% and then push it to 100% when closing to the time you wake up.
It also never keeps the battery up to 100% when plugged in, allowing it to drain a bit sometimes.
This feature, along with your normal usage of the battery and the calibration procedure will keep your battery chemically and mechanically active, but not stressing it by fast and/or total charge/discharge. This preserves lifetime.
Oh thank you so much, you made it so clear to me. Yah, I have the latest Macbook pro 2020. I will have do what exactly you told me. Thanks again, more power to you.
Take some time to read this Apple articles and its links https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204054 , https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211094
Lots of information on batteries.
Thanks Rafael for your reply. I've read those already. My question is sill not answered.

Yes.
Thanks so much for explaining it to me. It may sound techie for me, but I will to calibrate it.
By the way my Mac is Macbook pro 2020.
