I would like to learn the photo editing program that comes with the photos program on my 2012 laptop that uses MacOS Mojave version 10.14.6. Although there are many software programs such as photoshop that one can buy, I'd like to first learn the editing that comes with the program. Is anyone aware of any free tutorials or free online classes I can sign up for? Thanks!

I suggest you create a test library (launch Photos with the Option key held down, click on the "Create New…" button), import some photos into it and start learning there. If you mess up a photo, do a Revert to Original and try again.

This is a slightly older tutorial which will align with your OS 10.14.6 however if you decide to update to Catalina, Photos versions update with the OS updates and you may need to search out a more up to date tutorial.
