Slow to boot up iPad 7 generation
Why is my iPad 7generation slow to boot up? I have to hold the start button down a long time and sometimes several times.

How long is “a long time”?
If the iPad is shut-down, to restart, you need to press-and-hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo is seen - then release. From recollection, it is typically necessary to hold the button pressed for five or more seconds.
An alternative method of starting-up an iPad is to connect to the Power Adapter. If the iPad is shut-down, the iPad will automatically restart upon connection to external power.
