Lost icloud password and recovery method.

Hi,


My friend lose his icloud password, and when he tried to reset the password it asked for a phone number, while that's number doesn't belong to him, he can't even see the whole phone number so he can call it.


the icloud was opened using his gmail account, the icloud account is like EXAMPLE@gmail.com not EXAMPLE@icloud.com, and he still have access to this gmail, but not the icloud, how can he reset it using the email when it is not in the options?!
