Does CBS All Access thru Apple run the shows without commercials?

Like Kilgore-Trout pointed out, on demand videos are commercial free:

Live feed does contain commercial – it's actually the local TV station feed after all.

I don't get why games03 states that it's forced the use of CBS All Access app (and not the Apple TV channel) with commercials.

They were no commercials before but now Apple+ asks me to open a show in the CBS All Access app and there are, indeed, commercials. Plenty of them. Too many.

Here, I’m not forced to use the “external” app. Actually, I haven’t installed it at all.

I use the CBS All Access channel only and have never seen a commercial so far. Maybe it’s really related to the stand alone app.

For the record, I’m an Apple TV+ subscriber. I haven’t switched to the CBS All Access-SHOWTIME bundle yet, though.

CBS All Access subscription available through Apple (channel) offers only the commercial free plan ($ 9.99/month).

Apple TV+ subscribers in the US can get a bundle of CBS All Access and SHOWTIME for the same price.

So I already have CBS All Access no commercials if I switch over to the CBS all access with Showtime is CBS going to be the same as what I have or am I going to have commercials?

At the 9.99 price point, live programming will still have commercials (its the same feed as your local TV station). On demand programs will will not.

I thought I’d wait a few days to see if there would be some correction to this issue but I just checked and yep, commercials.
