iPhone SE2 haptic button not working properly

I’ve got a new iPhone SE 2 upgrading my old iPhone 6s. I have been experiencing this issue for a month already.

Every now and then the haptic home button starts feeling weird, and feels like the feedback it gives is harder. At that moment the Reachability feature stops working. Also when it happens you cannot use Apple Pay with fingerprint, it works with passcode. Unlocking the phone with fingerprint works fine.

When I reboot the phone, soft or hard, everything works fine but after some minutes or hours it happens again.

I already claimed a warranty and they gave me a new phone, but the issue is still there. I already tried restoring the phone both from iCloud and iTunes backup. Didn’t help. I think it is a conflict with some of the apps I have installed.

Any suggestion for help or troubleshooting I can do to fix it once for all. I hate having to reboot the phone 4-5 times a day :(

You can try a clean install of your device after a factory reset:

First make sure you have a backup

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Then facory reset your device:

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

And set it up without a backup. See if the issue persists. This to isolate to something in the software you had installed that followed the backup

If it does not happen again, you can see about how to move stuff over without using backup, alot of it can be synced via iCloud instead, but not apps and app data.

Good luck!
