how do I use app

I have no problem generating an app-specific password on my computer. Once I have the password, what do I do with it? on my computer? on my iPhone? and my iPad? I want to be able to sync my emails, books, phone messages, BusyCal, reminders, etc. Please be very specific -- don't say follow the directions on the screen. It doesn't work for me. Thanks.

You only need to use an app-specific password if you are using a 3rd party (i.e., non-Apple) app that accesses iCloud.

For example if you wanted to use the Thunderbird email app to access your iCloud email from a Mac or Windows computer. Another example -- to access iCloud email from an Android phone mail app.

See the following from Using app-specific passwords - Apple Support

App-specific passwords are passwords for your Apple ID that let you sign in to your account and securely access the information you store in iCloud from a third-party app. For example, use app-specific passwords with mail, contacts, and calendar services not provided by Apple.
