I want to get a family subscription to Apple Music, but I don’t want to share anything else, namely my books. Is this possible?

If I do family share for Apple Music, can I *only* share that, and nothing else? I don’t like sharing. Things get all “tangled up.”

Sure, you can decide what (and what not) to share. See the "All your family’s purchases, on all your family’s devices." section in:

Family Sharing - Apple Support

where it says:

If you want to keep some purchases private, you can choose to hide individual items or choose not to share your purchases in your Family Sharing settings.
