Will Apple watch 5 do this (and only this)?

I'd like to get the Apple watch 5 as my first ever fitness tracker. There are only two things that are essential for me:

(1) Ability to see the time, and my heart rate, just by glancing. I think that's no problem with AlwaysOn.

(2) Ability to see NOTHING else but those things during my workout. I want the option of NOT being made aware in any way of incoming calls, text messages, or notifications of any kind.

I've seen threads about earlier models in which people got advice about how to turn off all notifications, and reported that every recommendation failed, they could not prevent the watch from behaving in some way that alerted them to calls.

Thank you for your help!

(1) See the "How to check your heart rate" section in:

Your heart rate. What it means, and where on Apple Watch you’ll find it. - Apple Support

To easily open the app, add the Heart Rate complication to your watch face or add the Heart Rate app to the Dock.

I'm not sure, but if you want to continuously measure your heart rate, kit may drain your battery pretty fast.,

(2) To see what is normally displayed during a workout, see the "Track your progress" section in:

Work out with your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Also, here is what you can do to customize notifications on your watch:

Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

It appears you have to turn off notifications app-by-app.
