Airpods

Airpods won't re connect to iPhone. Had issue with right one not playing sound. So went here and seen that going to Bluetooth settings and clicking "forget device" and re pairing them should help. But when clicking forget device and holding down the button on the case with both airpods in. Nothing happeneds. Just a green light. Doesn't change even after holding it for over a minute. Is there something I can do?

I have tried that. When opening the case next to my phone it doesn't do anything. Holding the button down, nothing. All I get is a green light and won't connect. Nothing else
