apple pay on macbook pro

I can never get an Apple Pay transaction to complete on my 2017 MacBook Pro. I know that my TouchID is working for other functions (unlocking, website passwords), but when I use TouchID for an Apple Pay transaction, the process never completes. Anyone have a suggestion as to how to get it working? (macOS is completely up to date with Catalina)

Is this for just one website or all? Have you tried clearing your browser cache? Have you tried turning Touch ID off?
