App not available on Spanish App Store

My Apple account is registered to my Spanish address. I have a bank account in the UK with Nationwide B. S., and want to download the Nationwide banking app.


The app is listed on Apple's UK App Store, but is _not_ listed on their Spanish App Store. Nationwide tell me that they place no geographic restrictions on the downloading of their app.


So how can I download to my iPhone using my Spanish Apple ID?


(I am aware that I can swap to a UK Apple ID, download the app, and then swap back to the Spanish ID. But this is laborious and error-prone. I'm looking to avoid this.)

Most likely they didn’t develop the app themselves; they paid a professional app development firm to do it, and that firm should have submitted it to all of the countries where the bank wants to do business. So you need to escalate it within Nationwide to an executive level who can make that decision to work with the developer. Meanwhile you can still use their website from your phone, I hope. If that works you can create an icon on the Home screen to launch the site. You can try escalating within their tech support team, but they may not have sufficient privilege to do it.

Thank you for your reply, but it just repeated back to me what my original query stated.


I understand I can change to the UK region to download the app, but this has repercussions that I want to avoid.


My understanding is that Nationwide make their app available in all regions, but it still doesn't appear on the Spanish App Store. What is the reason for this?
