Why is the DMD saying this "There are not enough empty kit piece cells for all the samples. The following samples were not assigned:" ?

Remember, this is a user to user forum and we are all just users here, like you. Apple don't come here. We'll chip in with a lot of really useful help but make sure you report repeatable bugs (which this is) to Apple directly from Logic (there is a report issues choice under one of the menus).

Sooo. I was having the same issue. I found that if I click on the + sign in the empty drum cell, it creates an instrument and then I can just drag and drop sound files in--- all without this error message. Good luck!!

If I start from scratch with an empty kit, I can load my samples and then add some logic sounds from the library without any error. Hope this helps.

+1 on this problem. It's intermittent and random but happens enough to be very annoying. A work around is to open a second DMD instrument. Please figure this bug out, it's low key maddening.
