If the on-screen keyboard is not docked to the bottom of the screen - whilst the keyboard is visible, touch-and-hold the “keyboard” key at bottom right of the keyboard; an options menu will appear. Without lifting your finger, slide you finger to the Dock option - and then lift your finger.


I this resolves your difficulties.
