Can anyone recommend a command-line tool for displaying the video codec and format for a specified video file? I'm trying to screen out and reconvert any files that are now Catalina-incompatible.

Shows Codecs, Audio bitrate, Content Type, Duration in seconds, etc.

Thank you! I keep forgetting about the good ol' mdls.
It has revealed an audio codec (AC3) that appears to not be supported in Catalina. I suppose that's what is responsible.
And FYI, it's easy using Subler to selectively remove any offending audio tracks--in my case an AC3 surround track--without having to recode the video.
