I cant set up the Hotmail account on iOS

I see you entered it as hotmail and it was changed to Outlook. When you set up the account the phone sent the information you entered to Microsoft, which then replied that it should be Outlook. There may be a workaround if you know the actual address of the MS mail server. It’s an old trick for forcing a POP account rather than IMAP.

Start by setting up as “other”, then deliberately misspell “hotmail” (e.g., hotmial). It should then say it can’t find the server and exit wizard mode, and prompt you for details of the account, including server addresses, type of account, etc..

If it is an Exchange account you can’t add it as a hotmail account. If it is just an outlook account try adding it as “other”. But what is happening is when you enter a hotmail address that gets send to Microsoft, who corrects it to Outlook. So it may not be possible do to what you want.

Apple will protect your privacy whether you want them to or not. It’s also to protect them; if someone sees your email address and stalks or doxes you using it you might consider suing Apple. And leaving it up will guarantee that it would quickly become a spam target.
