Facebook notifications not working

I upgraded from a 3GS TO 4 and for some reasons since then my facebook notifications aren't working, no alerts, badges, nothing, ive tried uninstalling the app, turning off all notifications, even resetting my phone to factory settings and installing it again but still no luck, anyone else have problems with facebook notifications or experienced this?

Facebook app is doing the same thing on my iphone 4. worked fine on my 3G with ios4 though.

Phew. Me too, and I thought there was a conflict with multitask and apps. Sounds like a bug that the app developer needs to adjust.

Mine wasn't working right either, but they are now. I believe all I did was remove the app and redownload it from the App Store. You might want to give that a try.

??? I cant find any Facebook update, and my notifications are not working still. And I (again) reinstalled the app. Still busted.

Same Problem. Happened to me before. Its Facebook and their notification servers not sending out the notification or updating when you use the app. They will correct the problem in due time. Last time it lasted 2 days before I notice that it was working again.

Try manually removing the old app from your phone and and unchecking it in itunes... then sync your phone without it.

Then redownload the app from itunes and check it so that it will install your phone.... should work after that...

Nope, that did not work either. The app appears to just not be adapted to 4.0.1

Apparently this is due to the app not being able to receive notifications while it's still running in the background. If you close the app completely, i.e., double tap home, tap and hold icons and click the "-" for the facebook app, you should then start receiving any future notifications.

This is something FB should fix I think.

Notifications are spotty for me too. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Though I am starting to see a pattern it working on WIFI and not working on 3G...but maybe thats just me.

have you have enabled badges etc in setting? mine kept going off all over the place until i realised you could turn them off. It does need an update though.

its the exact same for me i recieve them on wifi but not 3g
ive done the whole uninstall, sync, reinstall
it's only a short term fix
