Do refunds go back to my bank account?

i got a refund for some of my mistaken purchases but does it go back to my bank account ?

i asked for a refund and it said it got approved but it’s been a day and i don’t see the cash in my account but when i go to purchase history it says pending does that mean the cash still hasn’t got to my account still?

i’ve asked for a refund the 27th the email said it refunded me 28th at 3 pm and it’s the 30th and it says pending on itunes and isn’t on my account so i have to wait more or did they not go thru with my refund

If it was on Apple Card it should go on the Apple Card but if it was your debit card it should go back to your bank account. I think I saw a post where Apple Card was able to send the refund to the bank account if you called them. otherwise it just stays as a credit until you buy something. so my son made a purchase using my itunes gift card codes and i filed a refund but they said i was refunded so when i went to the app store it still said 0 credit so idk if they sent it to my bank account
