I have an iPhone SE (2.0), iOS 13.6.1 I need to change my email password in settings, but when I go to Passwords & Accounts, then click on my email account, there is no option to access or change my password.

Thanks for your response, but I’m not having trouble with the password from the mail server- just the settings on my iPhone. It is a Gmail account I want to update. I have already changed my password with Gmail online, but can’t figure out how to update it within my iPhone’s account settings for the mail app. I use the Apple/iPhone mail app, not the Gmail app. There are lots of articles that show how to do this, but they all show a place within Passwords & Accounts to access/edit your password. My phone, however, does not give me this option. Can you tell me where I could edit my account password?

Thanks for those details.
For that Gmail account, you'll want to delete and re-add the account to update the information.
You can do that in Settings > Passwords & Accounts and tap the Gmail account there. Choose the Delete Account option, then you can re-add the account with your new information.
