Showtime app

I just got Showtime subscription on Apple TV but when I try to use the app on my phone for Showtime it says I do not have subscription

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 13

When you start a subscription for an Apple TV app Channel, then you must watch it in the Apple TV app, on any of your devices. That includes the Apple TV app on your iPhone with iOS 12.3 or later.

When you start a subscription from a separate app specifically from a content provider, then you must watch it that app, on any of your devices.

These two types of subscriptions are not exchangeable without canceling one and resubscribing for the other type.


Subscriptions are also specific for an account, so the account on Apple TV box should match the Apple ID account on the iPhone.
